Bob Hughes
President, Commercial Broker
Member of the Palm Springs Association of REALTORS, the California
Association of REALTORS, the Desert Area Commercial Information
Exchange, and Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce member. A graduate
of USC with a Masters in Public Administration, Hughes has a wide
variety of entrepreneurial experience from founder and publisher
of Orange Coast Magazine-- a glossy lifestyle publication of Orange
County, to founder and President of Hughes Ad House-- the largest
mall catalog publication agency in 50 states and Puerto Rico, and
most recently as founder and CEO of Canvas Arts-- a software development
company that marked giant leaps in the world of large-format printing
on canvas, limited edition giclees and its network of on site retailers
within Costco and Sam's Club worldwide.
Although he has been in the greater Palm Springs area since 1969,
Hughes originally hails from Alabama. After a tour of duty with
the Air Force, Hughes completed his education, teaching college
for a brief period, then entering city management before embarking
on his entrepreneurial quest. It was at this point that Hughes either
started or purchased-- and subsequently sold-- over sixteen businesses
throughout his career. With additional experience taking one of
his software companies public, developing patents, and serving as
a consultant to numerous companies such as Success Magazine, the
California Angels and the Lakers; Robert Hughes feels he has truly
fine tuned his eye for business opportunities and relies on his
wealth of industry contacts in retail, manufacturing, publishing,
property development, medical and hospitality to assist his clients.
